The country of Uruguay is located just across the river from Argentina, and was once a province of Argentina. After years of fighting, the Argentines and Brazilians reached an end to their conflict and the country of Uruguay was born.
Unlike Argentina, Uruguay does not share the same “windy city” politics, and is quite peaceful and safe in comparison—this is not to say that Argentina is not safe—it is. However, overall crime rates in Uruguay are much lower, and violent crime outside of large cities—where you will be on your Uruguay bird hunt—are almost nonexistent.

Uruguay Fishing
Cast and Blast trips for doves and dorados are pure adrenaline. The skies are filled with doves and the waters are full of fish. One will not find hordes of anglers and hunters crowding the lands and waters in Uruguay. A Uruguay Fishing Trip is peaceful experience in solitude and success. The rivers are full of hungry dorado, and most anglers will hook up on ten to twenty fish per day, per boat. Depending on which country one chooses to fish, the results vary, the Golden Dorado fishing in Argentina tends to be higher volume, but the Dorado Fishing in Uruguay lends itself to bigger fish.
Argentina Dove Hunting

—on par with the best duck hunting in South America. This trip yields incredible volume, many species of wild ducks that most people in the world have never even seen, let alone shot. Most hunting is easily accessible from dry blinds, and can be combined with Argentina goose hunting as well. When combined as a mixed bag trip, another bird can be added to the mix—the Perdiz. Perdiz hunting in Uruguay and Argentina is some of the best upland hunting action found anywhere, and can be combined with virtually every species of fish or fowl in the area.
